Book Description:

Self-proclaimed sorceress Kora Walsh knows exactly how to use her shiny new MBA. She’ll open a new age shop in a colony of the country’s most powerful witches. But the town rife with bigots doesn’t want her or her sleek shop tainting their perfect community.

Kora would leave if she had any choice in the matter. She’s trained from childhood for her true task—infiltrating coven leadership as her mother’s mole. Failure to do her familial duty is not an option, not when her childhood nemesis is assured her failed soul for an eternity of torture.

And thanks to the colony’s loudest supporter, the beautiful Desmond Marino, failure is a very real danger.

PRFL would like to extend a very warm welcome to Anya Breton, author of The Only Sorceress. Anya, to begin, can you tell us where you're from, and where/whom did your love for writing come from?
I’m a yankee living in Indiana. I fell in love with historical romances after happening on one at a babysitting job. Reading loads of those turned into trying my hand at writing. But I don’t have the patience to do historical (all that research!).

Can you say that your journey to publication was difficult? If so, what were the hardest moments to get through?
I wouldn’t say it was difficult. The journey simply took a lot of time, effort, and patience. The hardest moments are when edits came back with errors I should have spotted. And marketing. I’m shy and don’t like to ask people for stuff ;)

How do you overcome i-suck-it is, that little voice in your head that tells you your writing isn’t good enough?
Sometimes stepping away for a few hours helps. With how fast and how much my writing has improved over the past three years, it’s easier to tell that little voice to shove it.

What is your dream vacation?
A laptop with Wi-Fi on a warm beach, plus my Kindle and alcohol beverages. For at least a month.

Describe your writing style in five words.
Sexy with side of nerdy.

What movies are you currently excited to see?
The Other Woman.

What are you currently reading?
The Divergent Series.

If you weren’t a writer, what other careers would you pursue?
Something artsy. Or I’d be a professor/teacher.

If you could create a holiday of your own, what would it be called?
“International reading & chocolate day” in which it’s mandatory to read at least one book and eat at least one piece of chocolate (unless health issues preclude).

For people who haven’t read your novel, how would you summarize the plot?
Kora must infiltrate coven leadership or her mother will let her nemesis have her eternal soul. (That’s actually the summary for the series)

What are two of your pet-peeves?
I drive a lot, so one is people who drive slowly in the passing lane. The other would be intolerance.

To you, what makes a good story?
Romance, especially when the heroine and hero fight in the beginning.

What usually turns you off about a story?
Female rivals.

If you could collaborate with any author, who would you choose, and why?
Christina Dodd because I love just about everything she releases.

What is on your night stand?
My iPhone+dock, a bottle of water, and Editor cat (it’s nearly her dinner time).

What is your favorite book?
Phantom by Susan Kay. It covers the Phantom of the Opera’s early and later years. We discover his loveless upbringing and disastrous relationships along the way to Paris. I rarely reread a story but I’ve read this one a few times and adore it each time.
