Book Description:
My name is Taylor, and damn but my life changed overnight. One moment I was just a regular girl working two jobs to pay my bills, and next thing you know, I'm uncovering secret metal disks at my boss's house. Now I'm reading minds, dream-walking and being saved from bad guys by Mr. Dark and Brooding.
That would be Ryder Langston, my new next-door neighbor. He's sex on legs but he's also a secret agent from another world—no joke. I believe him now because he dragged me back here "for my protection" after he discovered someone was trying to assassinate me on Earth. It isn't working out so well.
There's a war going on, one that's been fought for generations. Ryder's having trust issues (not that it's stopping us from falling into bed), and it turns out I'm connected here, if you know what I mean. The target on my back finally makes sense, but there's nowhere left to hide…

Guest Post by author Danube Adele:
The Sky’s the Limit!
Writing paranormal romance is like jumping on a roller coaster whose track you can’t see. It’s exciting,
it feels dangerous, and you have no idea where it might take you, but the ride is definitely worth it. The
greatest joy of paranormal is creating new laws of physic, new facts about life that have to stay true for
the world and the characters that you create. It’s a juggling act that has many more bits and pieces to
juggle. Can I remember all the rules? How can I take these rules and maximize their power? How can I
use them creatively in a way that empowers my characters and helps them work through their internal
and external conflicts in truly satisfying ways? Then comes that beautiful question that always starts
with “What if…” The sky is the limit in what you can imagine, as long as you stick with the parameters
that you have set up.
In QUICKSILVER DREAMS, I asked the question, “What if there was an ore that could instantly create
transport to another location that has that same ore? How would it be used? Where would people
travel?” I came up with mylunate. It allows instant travel, but the distance between two points is
measured by how much mylunate is available at both ends. The more there is, the farther you can go,
even light years. It was such a blast to imagine how someone from Earth might react upon realizing they
are on a different planet nowhere near Earth. Then, there were fantastic side effects to mylunate that
helped create more suspense. Mylunate allows someone to read minds and dreamwalk, that is, jump
into someone else’s dream. Added to that, anything can happen in a dream, right? Again, the sky’s the
limit.
Taylor Lane, the kick*ss female character in my book, works two jobs to pay the bills, and is heavily into
kickboxing because it helps her feel powerful. She’s on her own in the world and wants to feel like she’s
in control of her life. Through chance discovery, she unknowingly acquires mylunate, which sets her on a
path of excitement and adventure that takes all control out of her hands. As a writer, it was great fun to
consider all of the trouble she could get herself into, and how she was going to handle it, just by having
this mylunate. Then she meets Ryder, and all bets are off. He’s got secrets that are out of this world,
literally.

About the Author:
Danube Adele wrote her first romance at the age of seven when she penned the story of her dogs falling in love and having puppies. She’s been dreaming up romantic tales ever since. A lifetime resident of southern California, she spends time playing at the beach, camping in Joshua Tree National Park, and hiking Mammoth Mountain.
Always a lover of adventure, she and her husband took their sons on a cross country road trip to Florida and back in an old VW Westfalia, that had no A/C, in the month of July, and still, it continues to be the best trip they ever took. Extensive travel and trying new things has kept the creative spark alive. Danube lives in Claremont with her biggest fans, her loving husband, amazing and wonderful identical twin sons, and a teddy bear of a Rottweiler.
Her debut novel, Quicksilver Dreams, Book 1 of the Dreamwalker series was officially released January 6, 2014.
