BLURB:
Amidst an epidemic ravaging the world, all Megan Fletcher's hopes for the future lie in getting to Las Vegas where newscasts reported scientists were gathering to search for a cure for the modern plague. After rescuing her from a rooftop surrounded by Zombies, Sam Woods appoints himself her escort. While he knows she is determined to get to Vegas no matter the cost, he doesn't know her secret. And with his hatred of all things Zombie, she doesn’t dare tell him the truth. The more he kisses her, the harder it is for Megan to hide her growing feelings…and the bite-shaped scar. But Vegas is not the haven it was promised to be, and when Megan’s immunity to the disease is discovered, she realizes her future and her heart belong to Sam, if he will trust her. An idealistic school teacher and ex-corporate mogul manage to find love despite a looming worldwide catastrophe. Can their love survive while everything around them is dying? Will they learn that when facing the end of the world, Only Love Survives.

 EXCERPT:
A storm that spelled danger flashed across Sam’s face. He advanced on Megan so fast, she backed up against the side of the Suburban. Planting a hand firmly on each side of her, he pinned her with his arms as well as his gaze. “What I want? Are you so hard headed you can’t tell what I want?” He covered her mouth with his lips and crushed her clever comeback with an assault on her senses. Megan pushed him, but he didn’t budge. Instead, he continued to kiss her until her heart raced and cheeks flushed with need. All resistance melted and she succumbed to the warmth of his embrace. Her arms wound around his neck of their own accord pulling him closer while her tongue sought his in a passionate dance, completely ignoring what her heart wanted. When he finally broke away leaving Megan breathless and wanting so much more, Sam put his forehead to hers and watched her mouth like a drunk watches amber liquid poured into a glass. “You,” he rasped. “I’ve wanted you since I found you hanging from that damn roof, and all our little encounter in the river did was add fuel to the fire.”

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Author, Renee Charles believes all love is legendary. Being the only female in a house full of giants (husband and two teenage boys) she tends to lean toward the strange and unusual, but inevitably the softer side shines through.
Whether life leads her to a snow covered mountain top, sun dappled forest, or the bottom of a ravine (yes, ditches happen) she always has a pen and note pad ready so wherever the next adventure takes her, she can take notes.
Her own romance began in an insane asylum. Luckily, both she and her husband only worked there. But it makes sense her romance novels have strange beginnings that lead to passionate endings. Romance with a twist.
In the face of zombies, werewolves, and big foot she always seems to find a happily ever after to leave you with a sigh at the end.

Book Description:

Anna James is single again, finally. In her opinion, men are self-centered and will never love her for who she is, a beautiful, plus sized woman. All except the fantasy man that she’s been meeting in her dreams for five years.

She just never expected her fantasy to be a real live alpha shifter...

Cade Le Beau isn't what he seems. He’s a billionaire wolf. A Shifter. He laments his missed chance six months ago to meet his fantasy woman in the flesh. Just as his second chance presents itself, his fantasy woman, his mate, is threatened by the local mob boss and her ex-husband. Now, he has forty eight hours to deal with this threat once and for all or chance losing her again.

Is it Anna who’s in danger, or the humans who unwittingly threaten her?

The heat is on the moment they lay eyes on each other. Neither, age, children, horrid ex-husbands, nor mob bosses will stop this love affair.

NOTE: Complete novel. No cliffhanger. Dual POV. Rated 18+ for language and strong sexual content. This is an adult paranormal romance with erotic content. The series centers on wolf shifters but also includes vampires, voodoo priestess, a Marine, and magic. These are stand alone books that create a series. They do not need to be read in order.

About the Author:
V.A.Dold is the bestselling author of the Le Beau Brothers series, New Orleans wolf shifter novels. A graduate of Saint Cloud University, she majored in marketing. Prior to becoming a full time writer, she was a publicist to the authors, owning Innovative Online Book Tours and ARC Author & Reader Con's (ARC NOLA) (ARC Phoenix). Still is. The companies mesh so well together, much like PB&J.

Her idea of absolute heaven is a day in the French Quarter filled with nothing but her computer, her coffee mug and the Brothers, of course.

A Minnesota native with her heart lost to Louisiana, she has a penchant for titillating tales featuring sexy men and strong women. When she's not writing, she's probably taking in a movie, reading or traveling.

Her earliest reading memories are from grade school. She had a major fixation with horses, and the Black Stallion was a favorite. Then junior high came along and teenage hormones kicked in. It became all about the Harlequin Romances. She has been hooked on romances ever since.

A demon's job is to corrupt as many souls as possible. But for Jaeryth, there's only one soul, one woman he's interested in: Logan Frost. An eternity of torture awaits him if he fails.

Logan, a struggling singer and recovering meth addict fresh out of rehab, has no idea she's destined to change the world. She only wants to survive. Still, something isn't right about this gorgeous stranger who's never tried chocolate and doesn't seem to know how pants work.

Excerpt from Demon’s Song

Logan headed for her bedroom, feeling even less confident that taking this guy in was the right thing to do. There was something off about him—well, besides the obvious. People wandering around naked and beat up wasn’t an everyday occurrence, but at least there was the possibility of a plausible reason for that.
She couldn’t think of any explanation for a man who apparently didn’t know what hungry felt like.
One thing she knew for sure was that he couldn’t hang around naked. Because oh, God, that body was distracting, and she hated thinking that way when the guy was in such bad shape. It was wrong on so many levels, not the least of which was that she’d sworn off ogling men after the last one led her down the path of spiraling destruction.
Anyway, he was putting some clothes on. And he wasn’t staying.
She rifled through her sparsely filled drawers until she found the only things she owned that might fit him—a worn pair of gray sweatpants and an oversized night shirt with Tweety Bird on it. At least he wouldn’t look so damned attractive in this stuff.
When she went back to the living room, the mystery man was still passed out. Jaeryth, he’d said. No last name—not that she’d expected him to give one if he was really on the run. She stood in front of the couch and stared at him, trying to figure out why he seemed so familiar. It wasn’t because of the two-minute meeting at the thrift store. Even then, she’d felt this same shiver of recognition. Like he was an old friend dropping into a hole in her life that she didn’t know had been there.
His eyes opened slowly and fixed on her. “Logan.”
Something in the way he said her name simultaneously thrilled and terrified her. Standing here suddenly seemed like a bad idea. She would just give him the clothes and distract herself in the kitchen finding him something to eat…and despite her intentions, she wasn’t actually moving.
But he was. He straightened slowly, leaned forward and stood. The blanket fell away. She was absolutely not going to look down. His steady gaze held hers as he moved toward her, reached for her.
She really needed to stop him. And she wasn’t going to.

About the Author:
Jessa Russo believes in fairytales, ghosts, and Jake Ryan. She insists mimosas were created for Sundays, and that’s not up for discussion.  She’s obsessed with the great city of New Orleans—where she’s collected too many beads to count, eventually married her sweetheart, and visited graveyards they don’t include on maps.

She’s loud, painfully honest, and passionate about living life to the fullest, because she’s seen how abruptly it can be taken away.

What began as a desire for reading and writing young adult paranormal has bled into stories of all kinds. From fantasy to pre-dystopian to erotic contemporary, Jessa’s stories always include romance, though she’s given up on pigeonholing her work into a category or genre box.

Jessa was born and raised in Southern California, and remains there to this day with her husband (a classic car fanatic), their daughter (a Tim Burton superfan), and a Great Dane who thinks he’s the same size as his Chihuahua sister.
ENTWINED, the final installment of Russo’s Ever Trilogy, will be released later this year, as well as an erotic romance written under the pseudonym Parker Jameson, so please stay tuned!

Book Spotlight & Author Interview: The Lycan Hunter by Kelsey Jordan

The Lycan Hunter
Kelsey Jordan

About the Book:
When Alexis James arrives at her first assignment in months, she anticipates the danger and violence rife in her calling as a Lycan Hunter. What she doesn’t expect is a handsome, blue-eyed wolf saving her life and kidnapping her. Surrounded by the enemy, Alexis must not only survive her prisoners but the bonds of a different sort that begin to form against her will.
Mikko Kyran was chosen by the gods to lead his pack, and he has made it his mission to end the eight thousand years of war plaguing his people. The Alpha never suspected that the key to the prophecy ending the Forever War would be held by a smart-mouthed, sexy Hunter determined to kill him.
Can two people from different worlds set aside everything they know about one another long enough to survive retribution from the Hunters, the pack, and the gods? Or will their differences start a war that neither can win?
Written with intensity and depth, The Lycan Hunter is the first in a thrilling new series.

PRFL would like to extend a very warm welcome to Kelsey Jordan, author of The Lycan Hunter. Kelsey, to begin, how did you come up with the idea of writing a book?
I've been writing poetry since I was about thirteen, but one day in my early twenties I decided to challenge myself and write a full length novel based off of a writing prompt. I've been writing novels ever since.

Q: Where did your inspiration come from?
Different books have different inspirations. For The Lycan Hunter, the inspiration came from a song by Within Temptation's song "Howling".

Q: Does writing take time away from your family?
I think this is one of those things that every writer struggles with and in that regard, I'm no different. I tell people I spend a lot of time in my head. There are times when I am not entirely present in the moment, so of course there is guilt that I have because it takes away from my family and friends.
Q: Have you learned anything about yourself since you started writing?
I think the one thing I've learned is the less I stopped fighting the act of creating, the more at peace I feel in my life. The times that I don't write are accompanied by a tone of anxiety.
Q: What advice would you give someone who might be thinking of writing a book?
I'm big on world building. Plug the holes.  Even in the "generic" world we all live in there is world building to do, so plug the holes so that there is less work to do as you are writing. Also, take your time. Rushing to finish a book works for some people, but I'm all for taking the right amount of time to finish the book. What is the right amount of time? Who knows, but if you rush towards a preconceived deadline I can't say the book will benefit from it.
Q: Who are your favorite authors?
Wow. Let's see, I have to pick from so many. I'll go with my favorite three. Karen Marie Moning, J.R. Ward and G.A. Aiken are among my many favorites, but they are easily my go to authors.

Q: Have you written any other books?
As of right now I have four written, but one--my first very first novel-- is in an ongoing rewrite.

Q: What’s so special about your main character?
Alexis is a woman with a terrible upbringing struggling to find a way to exist that doesn't involve dodging bullets or fearing for her life. She only manages to deal with the constant sense of danger by shuttering her feelings away. It truly is the only way she could survive being in the crosshairs.
Kyran is the type of male secure enough in his masculinity to express all the emotions that Alexis has had to shutter away. This in no way diminishes his ability to command and receive respect. To me, his ability to embrace his all of his emotions makes him a more effective leader and a better mate.

Q: Are you working on a book right now?
I'm always working on something. Right now, I’m finishing up book two and tightening up some loose ends on book three, which I wrote before book two.

Q: What genre are your books?
The Gardinian World Novels are paranormal romance.

Q: When did you decide to become a writer?
I started writing in the eighth grade and I've been writing off and on ever since.

Q: Do you write full-time or part-time?
Technically, I write part-time, but I live in my head so I'm always mentally working on something. I'm full-time in spirit.

Q: What is the hardest thing about writing?
Letting go. At times it's hard to move on to the next story or next book because I've grown so attached to the characters and their journey.

Q: What is the easiest thing about writing?
Honestly, it's starting. Once I have an idea, which I never have to work for, it's easy for me to create everything about the world rules, possible problem areas, and delve into the lives of my characters.

Q: How long did it take you to write your book?
The Lycan Hunter took me roughly ten months to write.

Q: Do you ever get writer’s Block?
Until recently I didn't "believe" in writer's block. Then it hit me for a solid three weeks. So yes, I have gotten it, but it's rare. I think it happened because I was so overloaded between all of my various obligations.

Q: Do you prefer eBooks or traditional paper/hard back books?
I love the portability of an eBook. I always have my phone on me which means I always have access to my books. That being said, I have nothing against a paperback.

Q: Do you have a trailer for your book?
Unfortunately, at the moment I don't. I’m working on getting one though.

Thank you so much for joining us today, Kelsey. We really enjoyed the visit. Good luck and great sales with The Lycan Hunter.

About the Author:

Kelsey Jordan is the author of The Lycan Hunter, the first book in her Gardinian World series. Though she has a preference for all things paranormal and romantic, Kelsey admits she just writes what her muse demands of her. It’s less painful that way. When she isn’t enjoying the momentary benefits of playing god to the many characters that live in her head, she can usually be found curled up with a book, killing something in a video game, or spending time with her family. At some point in the day she is probably drinking more than her recommended dose of coffee, but don’t tell her that. She doesn’t care about recommended servings.
As a Texas native and self-described Air Force brat, Kelsey now lives in Georgia with her husband and their tutu-wearing minion. Book 2 and 3 of the series will be published by Booktrope Editions late Summer/Fall 2014.

Excerpt:
There were few people or demons who were more familiar with the complex spiderweb of tunnels better than Styx.
Before his mating to Darcy, he’d lived in them for several decades along with the previous Anasso.
Which meant that he knew every secret passage and hidden nook.
A knowledge he put to quick use less than an hour after he and Viper had arrived.
Once they’d formally lodged their petition with a dour-faced Sota demon and been shown to their bleak caverns where they were supposed to wait for an opportunity to have their dispute heard by the Oracles, Styx had led them from the public chambers to the dank tunnels beneath.
Stepping through the illusion of a seemingly solid stone wall, Styx pulled his large sword free of the sheath strapped to his back.
“Bring back old memories?” Viper demanded, ridiculously wearing black chinos and a white ruffled shirt with a brocade vest.  His silver hair was braided, emphasizing the beauty of his elegant face, and the sword he carried looked like it should belong to a fencer, not a warrior.
But only an idiot would believe that Viper wouldn’t have their heart carved out with a flick of his wrist.
Styx, on the other hand, didn’t bother with subtlety.
Leather, shit-kickers, and plenty of snarly attitude.
Simple.
“Not so old,” he said, leaping over a large boulder that blocked their path.  “Although it does seem like another lifetime.”
Viper easily kept pace.  “Who would have thought just a year later we’d both be mated and saviors of the world?”
Styx snorted.  “Be careful, Levet takes full credit for being savior of the world.”
“He would,” Viper said dryly.
Styx kept his attention on the widening tunnel, well aware there were cracks in the uneven walls where an enemy could hide.
He wasn’t about to walk into an ambush.
“I’ll gladly allow him to have the glory if it keeps him out of my hair.”
Viper gave a short laugh.  “Yeah, good luck with that.”
“Miracles happen.”
“True,” Viper drawled.  “You found a mate who hasn’t stabbed you with a stake.”
“Yet.”  Styx pointed out, an indulgent smile curving his lips.
He wanted this business done so he could return to Darcy.  The faster the better.
They turned down another tunnel that ended in the appearance of a dead-end.  This time, however, when they stepped through the illusion there was an unmistakable scent of decay.
“Viper,” he growled, coming to a sharp halt.
His companion moved to stand beside him.  “I smell it.”
Styx wrinkled his nose.  “Fairy.”
“Dead fairy.”
Styx nodded toward the nearby entrance to a small cavern.  “Ready?”
Viper shrugged.  “Always.”
Together they entered the cavern, discovering the fairy lying on the in the center of the smooth floor.
Without a sound Viper was sprinting toward the far end of the cavern, searching behind the nooks and crannies that could hide the killer.
Styx knelt beside the body, reaching out his fingers to touch the dead man’s throat as he made a physical inventory.
Outwardly the fairy appeared unharmed.  His long hair red hair was untangled, his pale skin unmarred, his lean body in one piece, and there wasn’t so much as a drop of blood on the traditional robes that were given to most petitioners.
Rising to his feet, he watched Viper return.
“Anything?” he demanded.
The younger vampire gave a shake of his head.  “No, whoever did this is long gone.”
Styx glanced back down at the fairy.  Most demon bodies disintegrated within a matter of hours, sometimes minutes.  It was a necessary precaution to avoid detection by the humans.

I was born and raised in South Africa, where I still live with my husband, and two beautiful little girls. I always knew that I was going to be a writer but it only started to happen about four years ago, now I can’t stop writing. In my free time, If I get any because Moms don’t really have free time, I love to spend time with friends, if it’s a girls night out, or just a movie, I’m a very chilled person. My writing career is starting with Firebolt, book one with the Dragonian Series, there will be four books in total and two to three books that is about the stories taking place inside The Dragonian Series. I do write in different Genres, I have a woman’s fiction called the Pregnancy Diaries, but it would be published under another name. And then I have a paranormal series, called the Watercress series. There are about ten novels in that one. So, plenty of novels to come out, so little time. I hope you are going to embrace the Dragonian Series as much as I loved writing them.
